Crested Butte Bike Week - June 22-25

Crested Butte Music Festival - June 23 - August 5

The Crested Butte Music Festival presents an innovative program of music and dance through the summer from June to August. This year's festival includes chamber and orchestral music, opera, a little bit of jazz, bluegrass, and dance. Visit for a detailed schedule and ticket information.

Crested Butte Museum Black & White Ball - July 2

Black and white attire takes over Elk Avenue for this well-dressed celebration of the storied history of Crested Butte. All proceeds support the Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum.

Fourth of July Celebration - July 4

Crested Butte's 4th of July Celebration is one of the town's premiere events. The day begins with a huge parade which marches directly through downtown Crested Butte, and is followed by an event lineup, which includes a Log Saw Competition, Kids Games, and live music. A food court will also be open throughout the day which will offer a variety of foods and drinks. The day will be capped off by the Crested Butte Chamber's famous fireworks show at dusk (weather permitting).

Caddis Cup Fly Fishing Tournament - July 7-8

Join angler enthusiasts from all over the country for an unforgettable two days in the heart of the majestic Colorado Rockies while participating in this exciting non-competitive fly fishing experience. Each participant is accompanied by an experienced angler to provide a rewarding and challenging experience. The Caddis Cup is a great opportunity for fun and camaraderie, and provides a setting in which one can sharpen and refine one’s technique. Crested Butte Wildflower Festival - July 7-16

This annual event celebrates Crested Butte's designation as "The Wildflower Capital of Colorado." The festival features daily hikes, art and photography classes, cooking classes, garden tours and nightly lectures. Visit for more information.

Wine and Food Festival - July 26-30

Join us for the Crested Butte Land Trust Wine and Food Festival in Colorado’s best mountain town! Striving to create a wine and culinary festival that complements the array of amazing offerings in Crested Butte, this Festival is the perfect excuse to visit this scenic and captivating area. Proceeds from the Festival benefit the Crested Butte Land Trust, an organization whose mission is to protect unrivaled views, provide trails, and preserve wildlife habitat. Crested Butte Arts Festival - August 4-6

One of town's most popular events, artists come from all over to participate. What began as an informal gathering of mostly local crafters selling their wares has evolved into one of the top fine art and fine craft shows in Colorado. Visit for more information. Crested Butte Open - August 6-7

Please join us for two memorable days of events benefiting the Crested Butte Adaptive Sports Center! Pearl Pass Tour to Aspen (and Back!) - September 9-10

The oldest mountain bike event in the world is repeated year after year on a September weekend. The first tour happened in 1976 when a group of Crested Butte rowdies pedaled and pushed their one-speed klunkers over the 12,705 ft. pass and on into Aspen. They didn't know what they were creating. Vinotok Bonfire - September 23

The culmination of the week long festival of Vinotok! Don your costumes and hit the streets or park it in a restaurant on Elk Avenue for dinner. A street theatre production with mumming will wind its way throughout downtown restaurants inviting the public to an outdoor stage production celebrating the Harvest Mother, the Green Man and the changing of the seasons. The play will begin in front of the Eldo at 7:30 p.m. on the outdoor stage with the procession to the 4-way stop beginning at 8:30 p.m. Will the Grump be burned? Don your best medieval costumes, get your head wreath together and hit the streets to watch the mummers and stage production, then travel with the cast and crew to the bonfire at the 4-way stop.
